6. the processing is necessary for the exercise of powers conferred by law on the controller or on a third party to whom the data are disclosed;

7. the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of the personal data controller or of a third party to whom the data are disclosed, except where these interests are overridden by the interests of the natural person to whom the data relate. The PDPA regulates the principles that personal data controllers should observe when processing data. Every controller is obliged to process personal data lawfully, in compliance with the provisions of the PDPA, namely: - to process them lawfully and in good faith; - to collect them for specific, precisely defined and legitimate purposes and not to process them further in a manner incompatible with those purposes; - to maintain them in a form which permits identification of the relevant natural persons for a period not longer than is necessary for the purposes for which these data are processed.
